I have been day dreaming of older days...dreaming about going to work, socializing, and of the sweetest things in life. A great memory is when my boyfriend and I would indulge in dessert at Cake Life in Fishtown.
This time for me was pre-peanut allergy. After my gluten-intolerance surfaced I could no longer eat their out of this world cakes. Luckily Cake Life offers gluten-free options! While this is very exciting, there is cross contamination of all allergens in their facility so even the gluten-free options come with a price for me; itchy mouth.
One of my favorite gluten-free treat is Cake Life's PB Bar. It has a thick, dense chocolaty base, with a decadent, creamy peanut butter middle, and delicate chocolate topping.
Unfortunately with COVID-19, Cake Life is not currently open. I HIGHLY recommend this being one of your first stops once they re-open their doors to the public!
